Junior Assistant coach
Ben Reid

Ben is currently 15 years old (2018) and started his tennis journey when in grade 6 his friends started doing a tennis program (at Barwon Heads) with Essential Tennis which then meant he started having a hit after school with these same friends.
Ben soon left his current sports of cricket & footy to start tennis, where he started having lessons with Cameron & Essential Tennis. With hard work and a lot of dedication, Ben really progressed with his tennis skills and ability. Ben after working his way through the grades is currently playing section 1 in Tennis Geelong (winter 2018).
Ben recently completed the TA foundation course at Centre Court Indoor in April 2018 where he got more confidence and knowledge to continue working with the senior coaches at Essential Tennis.
Ben's favourite player is Rafa Nadal because of his determination on court and also because he has a winning record over Federer.
Ben's favourite shot is the drop shot as it requires the player to read the player and have delicate touch.
